In n out Secret Menu
The In-N-Out Secret Menu is a collection of popular custom orders that are not listed on the regular menu but can be ordered at most In-N-Out locations. Fan favorites include Animal Style, Protein Style, 3×3, 4×4, Flying Dutchman, and Animal Style Fries.

These items use the same fresh ingredients as the regular menu, with different toppings, cooking styles, or serving options. While often called a “secret menu,” In-N-Out officially describes it as a “Not-So-Secret Menu” because employees are familiar with these custom orders.
3×3 (Three-by-Three):
Three 100% beef patties stacked with three slices of American cheese, plus lettuce, tomato, and spread.
4×4 (Four-by-Four):
A massive stack of four beef patties and four slices of cheese.
This is the largest size officially permitted by company policy today.
16×16:
A legendary, oversized secret item consisting of 16 beef patties and 16 cheese slices.
Note: In-N-Out permanently capped burger modifications at 4×4 in 2004 after a famous group ordered a 100×100 burger, making 16×16 a piece of fast-food history rather than an orderable item today.
Animal-Style Burger:
The ultimate In-N-Out customization. The beef patties are mustard-cooked (seared with mustard on the grill), topped with extra thousand island spread, pickles, and grilled caramelized onions.
Animal-Style Fries:
A generous order of fresh-cut fries smothered with melted American cheese, grilled caramelized onions, and signature spread.
Cheese Fries:
Fresh fries topped with hot, melted American cheese slices.
Chopped Chilis:
Spicy yellow cascabella peppers chopped up and added directly inside your burger or served on top of fries for an added kick.
Around the World Shake:
A off-menu blend combining all three classic shake flavors—chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry—into a single cup (also known as the “Neapolitan Shake”).
Black and White Shake:
A classic fountain-style mix combining chocolate and vanilla shakes.
Cheesy Wiki:
Not an official In-N-Out menu item. This name often refers online to a custom ordering hack where you ask for melted cheese over grilled onions on a tray, or it is simply internet myth/slang rather than a recognized code behind the counter.
